Bring your skilled and compassionate art to light in our beautiful small animal private non-profit animal shelter in beautiful Columbia SC, PETSinc. We are seeking a gifted integrative vet to join our family. PETSinc offers Holistic Veterinary Care as well as a low-cost full-service veterinary spay neuter clinic to the public in addition to serving the community and surrounding areas as a shelter for 30 years. Holistic care is in its own building to provide a relaxed atmosphere for the animal and the owner to enjoy the tranquility of the treatment space. The PETSinc Alternative Medicine and Rehab Center offers chiropractic care, class IV laser therapy, acupuncture, underwater treadmill, Chinese herb, homeopaths, nutrition, and other “non-western” treatment options such as essential oils. As a veterinarian member of the PETSinc family you will have access to a full inhouse Idexx lab, digital radiograph, ultrasound, and all the diagnostic essentials of a full-service animal hospital.
Columbia is located at the center of South Carolina and offers an abundance of things to do regardless of your lifestyle, just 2 hours from coastal beaches, only 1.5 hours from historic Charleston or 2 hours from the lush upstate mountains.
WHAT IS EXPECTED OF THE POSITION:
Our hospital’s clientele is seeking either only Western or Eastern Medicine or a combination of the two. We are seeking a regular veterinarian with experience in the regular small animal veterinary field. The associate that we look for needs to be open to a holistic mindset and to be able to learn to work in the way PETSinc practices integrated and traditional medicine. Knowledge or skills in Eastern or holistic services is not required, however the belief in the holistic approach of using the best of East and West for the best health of the pet is fundamental to joining our hospital. Certification or experience in holistic services, such as acupuncture or chiropractic services, is surely welcome. We offer very competitive wages and insurance (along with the advantages that you can receive with student loan forgiveness while working for a non-profit (501c3).)
