Seeking Integrative Veterinarian
Location: Hong Kong, China Date Posted: 6/17/2021
The 9 Lives Veterinary Group, located in Hong Kong, is looking for an integrative veterinarian. Hong Kong is a vibrant, exciting city to live and work. Hong Kong is not just skyscrapers – over 75% of Hong Kong is protected nature reserves. Within minutes you can be at the beach, hiking a mountain trail, dining in a four-star restaurant, eating street food, or shopping in an upper end mall. In Hong Kong you can establish an exciting lifestyle that most people can only dream about. Hong Kong has had an extremely low rate of infection during the COVID pandemic but was never completely shut down. There is a very strong ex-pat community here and most people speak English (English and Cantonese are the two official languages of Hong Kong). The people of Hong Kong are highly devoted to their pets, who are truly part of the family.
9 Lives is a rapidly expanding veterinary group with multiple veterinary offices, ranging from GP to ER. We started as a feline only practice and have expanded to provide 24/7 ER coverage as well as a dog-only practice coming soon. All hospitals are fully equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, in house blood machines, etc. We have a brand-new CT scan in our 24-hour facility and we will be offering ambulance service to help transfer our patients between locations as needed. Our nursing staff is fully bilingual and can assist with all of your translation needs. We believe that the veterinarian should serve as the patient’s advocate and our relationship with our clients is our most important asset. We are committed to continuing education and learning opportunities abound.
We provide a generous relocation package, including housing allowance, medical insurance, staff discount, and assistance with establishing a working visa. We provide 4 weeks of annual leave per year and Hong Kong has 12 national holidays as well. You will receive extra days off for continuing education as well as a continuing education allowance of 30,000 HKD per year.
We are looking for an integrative veterinarian who can bridge the gap between traditional Chinese veterinary medicine and western medicine. We are hoping to integrate acupuncture, herbal medicine, and food medicine into our group of practices. Fluency in English is a must. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, both with clients as well as colleagues.
We know that there is a shortage of veterinarians around the world, and we understand that there are a lot of open positions that you will be considering. If this sounds like a good fit for you, please send your CV and cover letter to firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to hearing from you!
